The future of front desk management

FrontDeskOS was born out of a frustration every small business owner knows too well.

In 2022, our co-founders Elena Vasquez and James Chen were running a small network of urgent-care clinics in the Bay Area. Despite investing heavily in marketing, they kept losing patients to competitors — not because of care quality, but because 35% of inbound calls went unanswered. Front-desk staff were overwhelmed, after-hours calls hit voicemail, and patients simply called the next clinic on their list.

Elena had spent a decade scaling communications platforms at Twilio and RingCentral. James had led conversational technology research at Google Brain. They realized the technology to solve this problem already existed — it just hadn't been packaged for the businesses that needed it most. Within six months, they built the first version of FrontDeskOS in their garage, tested it on their own clinics, and watched missed calls drop from 35% to under 2%.

Today, FrontDeskOS serves thousands of businesses across healthcare, legal, real estate, salons, home services, and automotive industries. Our system answers over 2 million calls per month with sub-200ms response times, and our customers report an average 94% reduction in missed calls within the first 30 days. But our mission remains the same: make sure no business ever loses a customer to an unanswered phone again.

Our values

The principles that guide every decision we make.

Innovation

We push the boundaries of conversational technology to deliver experiences that feel genuinely human. Our engineering team ships improvements every two weeks, driven by data from millions of real-world calls.

Reliability

Your front desk cannot afford downtime. We maintain a 99.99% uptime SLA, backed by redundant infrastructure across three availability zones and 24/7 on-call engineering coverage.

Privacy-First

Every architecture decision starts with data security. HIPAA compliance, end-to-end encryption, and a signed BAA are standard on every account — not upsells.

Customer Obsession

We measure success by our customers’ outcomes, not our feature count. Every client gets a dedicated onboarding specialist, and our customer success team maintains a 97% retention rate.
